Salute to Mr JBJ. Goodbye, Sir!

This is the first time I draw with tears in my eyes. Mr JBJ, you will be remembered, always!

For some reasons, recently I’ve been thinking that, if I’m going to see Mr JBJ selling his books on the street again, I’ll stop and purchase one from him. I think this idea came after knowing that he’s been discharged of bankruptcy, and formed the Reform Party.

Over the years, I began to see the virtue of this great fighter. If there is anyone who can be a role model for fighting spirit and resilience, there could be none other than Mr JBJ. From PAP’s perspective, he is someone who 屡战屡败(keep fighting but keep failing)，but he is in fact 屡败屡战 (keep failing but keep on fighting)。

I was one of the many passers-by, who will always quicken our pace when crossing the road near CentrePoint, pretending that we wanted to beat the traffic light, pretending that we didn’t see him at all, despite the fact that all of us knew he was looking at us with his sharp eyes. Unlike IrCTP, I’ve never bought a book from him. Unlike DPYadav, I’ve never shaked his hands, let alone interviewed him.

I’m sure many people will miss Mr JBJ, simply because he’s made a very successful attempt to make his presence felt to many many people. One day, we will realize how much he had done to this country. His success will come from his many failures.
